If you wish to participate or follow the 30^th Planetary Congress, some of the events will be open to the public at La Cité de l’espace meanwhile others will be broadcasted live on this website.

The Congress consist of ceremonies; technical and scientific conference sessions, as well as meet ups with young people from different background and levels with the aim to share the passion for science and space professions. Through their extraordinary capacity to raise public awareness, the astronauts will be meeting with people of all ages, thought leaders, media, personalities from the Industry sector, researchers and anyone interested directly or indirectly by the wonderful space adventure.

Thematic and technical sessions

At these sessions you will have the opportunity to hear presentations and testimonials on the latest space activities from the astronauts themselves. Places are limited and by registration only, opening Mid-September, the sessions will also be broadcasted live on this website.

Community Day

Aimed at Educational institutions.

During this day, 100 astronauts, taikonauts and cosmonauts, grouped in 50 pairs will travel around Toulouse, the Occitanie region and the rest of France to meet students and young professionals and share their knowledge, experiences and passion for space activities.
The selection process towards educational institutions is now completed; however if your institution wishes to visit La Cité de L’espace on the day and meet with an astronaut, please click here.

"Dine with an Astronaut”

Two special evenings in support of the Congress’ organisation committee are held on Wednesday 18^th and Thursday 19^th 2017, and will allow you to share some special time with an astronaut.

Celebrate the 20^th anniversary of La Cité de l'espace

On the 20^th October 2017, la Cité de l’espace celebrates its 20th anniversary and wants to share this special moment of celebration with you; also closing the 30^th Planetary Congress held at La Cité de l’Espace during over the week.

For this exceptional day, La Cité de L’espace offers free entry from 15:00 through to the evening.
100 astronauts from all around the globe along with several personalities from the Space and Exploration world will be present for this unique event; a great gathering occasion for the players involved in promoting and expending space and astronomy activities and more broadly science and technology.
